A close cooperation with firefighters and experts in the field of ergonomics has been a defining feature when developing the QS II harness. The ergonomic design of all the components and the many integrated smart features make the harness highly versatile. Each component is carefully selected to ensure that the harness is robust enough to handle the extreme environment for which it is intended. The harness can easily be adjusted for different body sizes in four different size settings (“S”, “M”, “L”, “XL”). The selected size is clearly visible from both the front and the back. Thanks to the practical design the size adjustment can be made with the cylinder mounted and without removing the apparatus from the fire truck. The regulator unit has a pressure gauge, warning whistle and optional extra air connection. The plug-in type regulator is durable and has proven functionality with high flow capacity maintaining the safety pressure also at an extreme rate of breathing and low cylinder pressures. The plug-in type design makes service and repairs easy to perform with short down time. The SCBA variants exclude face mask, breathing valve and cylinder. Variants are available having a quick coupling with integrated flow restrictor between regulator and cylinder. Variants are available without extra connections (“Basic configuration”) or with extra connections for breathing hose and/or extra air connection for airline supply. The QS II SCBA can be used in single cylinder or twin cylinder configuration. See “Accessories” below for twin cylinder mounting kit, cylinder T-piece and distance piece.
S-FB First breath version
When donning the S-FB mask it will automatically activate when the user inhales to take the first breath. A handle on the breathing valve is used to shut it off when the mask is removed. The breathing valve has a positive lock to the mask providing a secure connection at all times. After preparing and connecting the mask to the breathing valve there is no risk for unintentional disconnection. The mask and breathing valve design is very compact with no protruding parts which gives unrestricted visibility and reduce the risk of snagging and mechanical damage. The silent operation of the mask gives minimal noise interference and excellent communication possibilities. This version is available in the three different sizes Standard size, Small size (S) and X-large size (XL). The silicone version is available in Standard size. There is also a version compatible with helmet adapters with a 4-point head harness and a top strap. This version is available in Standard size. When ordering this mask version, it is delivered including head harness, buckles and neck straps. But if it is ordered together with "Pre-delivery mounting of helmet adapter" it is delivered without head harness, buckles and neck strap.
Full composite - 6.8 L
The Interspiro ultra-light full composite cylinders comes in volume 6.8 Liter with an unlimited service life, ”NLL” — Non-Limited Life. It provides very low weight and reliable construction. The cylinder can be equipped with an optional Cylinder Quick coupling. There are several options for the cylinder valves: Excess Flow Valve (EFV) = Reducing the air flow from the cylinder in case of damage or unintentional opening. Safety ratchet = Mechanism preventing unintentional closing, "pull-to-close" or "push-to close". Pressure gauge = Integrated small pressure gauge showing cylinder pressure. Burst disc = A pressure relief device that protects the cylinder from overpressurization. The following cylinder valve combinations are available: In-line variant with hand wheel pointing straight down from the cylinder. 1. Basic version 2. EFV 3. EFV + safety ratchet 4. EFV + safety ratchet + pressure gauge 90° variant with hand wheel angled 90° from the regulator connection. Comes as standard with burst disc, safety ratchet and EFV. 1.
